Built for projects where the panel outline is not rectangular or where the aperture has to align with a joint line. Every order starts from a cutting list: we take your dimensions, add the weave direction, and return a nesting plan before any wire is woven.

How custom sizing works

There is no nominal size in this model. Panels are cut from woven sheet on a CNC shear to your drawing, with plus minus 1 mm on length and width and the weave direction marked on the packing label. Openings, notches and corner cut-outs are cut before the edge is deburred, so no wire end is left sharp on an exposed edge.

Alloy choice and why it matters for fixing

The panel is woven in aluminum alloy 5052 rather than commercial purity aluminum. 5052 gives roughly twice the tensile strength of 1050 and it holds a weld or a rivet without tearing at the edge, which is what allows this mesh to be fixed with brackets in the field instead of a full perimeter frame. A 3.1 mill certificate is supplied with each batch.

Aperture and pitch for fine texture

At 8 mm aperture and 1.2 mm wire the panel is fine enough to read as a translucent surface, which is why it is usually specified for interior ceiling screens and furniture backs rather than for exterior screening. Aperture is measured across the diamond flat to flat, not corner to corner; on request we can supply the corner measurement so site checks match our inspection sheet.

Edge options

Standard edge is cut and deburred. For panels handled during installation we recommend the hemmed edge, where the last row of wire is folded back 6 mm and flattened; this adds a rounded edge without changing the aperture inside the panel.

Send DWG, DXF or a dimensioned sketch. Non rectangular outlines, holes and notches are quoted from the drawing, and the nesting plan is confirmed in writing before cutting.
